You pull off the highway expecting another cookie-cutter muni, and suddenly you’re standing on tee boxes with blind shots, dramatic elevation, and holes that actually demand a yardage book. Scenic in places, rough around the edges in others, always fun.

Tricky front-nine tee shots, good practice setup, and a $29 weekday round that makes it the perfect spot for practice or learning smart golf..
6.7 ⭐️ Club at Frisco Farms
18 holes between a Frisco subdivision. Tight fairways, houses everywhere, and plenty of reasons to leave the driver in the bag.
7.2 ⭐️ Tenison Highlands
A mini wooded oasis minutes from downtown Dallas. Fun layout, historical charm, great practice setup, and some of the city’s best muni golf…if you can survive the single standby system.
7.0 ⭐️ Rusted Rail
Pure Texas hospitality…think less pretension, more “grab a beer and swing.” It’s a laid-back, scenic round that won’t bruise your ego, but packs enough challenge to keep things spicy.
7.7 ⭐️ Tangle Ridge
Feels like another world, rolling hills, random Bentleys, ashtrays still in use. Diverse crowd, old-school, and a stunning course for under $50.
8.4 ⭐️ Club at Twin Creeks
Scenic beauty, challenging yet playable, and generally well-maintained. This is a must play, top-tier Prime Weekend spot.
6.5 ⭐️ Tenison Park (Glen)
Glen may be the “other” course at Tenison Park, but it offers an accessibility, an engaging layout, solid practice facilities, and weekday rates under $40
