We review public golf courses with the same obsession others reserve for restaurants, hotels, and watches. The goal is simple: help golfers find the right public course for the day.
Most golf media focuses on destination golf and private clubs. KartPath focuses on the courses people actually play…municipal courses, GolfNow, semi-private clubs, and local favorites.
What We Look For
📍 Location
How far outside the city are we talking? Great golf is great, but a 60-minute drive each way matters. For many golfers, convenience is part of the experience.
🔑 Access
Can you book a tee time without stress? Can a single get on? Is GolfNow available? The easier it is to play, the more valuable the course becomes.
🏌️ Practice Facilities
Grass range, short game area, putting green—can you warm up properly or spend an afternoon working on your game?
🌱 Course Quality
Interesting layouts, memorable holes, and solid conditions. We prefer courses that are fun and playable over courses that are simply difficult.
⏰ Pace of Play
Can you finish before sunset? Four hours or less is ideal.
⛳️ Experience
The hardest category to measure and often the most important. Is this a weekend round with friends? A solo practice day? A special occasion? We consider the clubhouse, staff, carts, atmosphere, and overall vibe.
