East Dallas | Booked via: Clubhouse | Price Paid: $39 (Weekday) | 15 minutes from Downtown Dallas
I’ll be honest….I was warned. “Play Highlands,” they said. Highlands is the beloved sibling at Tenison Park, with the reputation, the muni prestige, and the fan club. Glen? Not so much. But it surprised me.
📍 Location & Access
Tenison Park sits about 15 minutes from Klyde Warren Park, making it a quick hop from most Dallas neighborhoods. As a single, you can’t book Glen online, again, you have to walk up. Not my favorite, especially in a city where tee times go fast.
⛳ The Course
Glen quietly delivers a fun, playable layout. The hole designs keep you engaged—some demand precision, others give you room to recover. It’s not a pushover, but it’s not out to beat you up either.
Under $40 for 18 holes? That’s tough to beat in Dallas. This is the kind of course you can work into your weekday rotation without guilt.
🌱 Conditions
Fairways and tee boxes are solid, especially at this price point. Greens are currently growing back from a recent punch, so they’re a little slow and bumpy. Again, you’re paying $39 during the week, and generally, you get what you pay for. Except at Grapevine, that’s a deal.
Final Word:
If you’re visiting from out of town, Highlands is still the star of the Tenison muni show. But for locals looking for affordable, weekday practice in a central location, Glen is underrated. Sometimes the “other” course earns its own spot in the rotation.
This is a great place to practice in Dallas. Check out our other spots here.
