Grapevine, TX | Booked via: Website, Call | Price Paid: $55 (weekend) | ~35 min from Downtown Dallas
Great course with real polish. If you plan ahead, it’s an incredible deal and one of the most complete public golf experiences near Dallas.
📍 Location
Grapevine is a bit of a haul and booking as a single isn’t easy per se. No GolfNow and you can’t book on their site as a single, so you’ll need to call the clubhouse (even for a 9-hole loop). That said, it’s worth the extra effort.
📐 Layout & Vibe
The course feels almost private: clean facilities, a huge clubhouse, and a layout that’s more legit than most munis.
Holes are thoughtfully designed, with fun variety and strong conditions throughout. Three separate 9s can feel disjointed at some places, but here it works.
It’s got a low-key country club feel: tidy, quiet, well-managed. Practice setup is limited with a small grass range and chipping areas, nothing expansive. Pace of play is typically well-run, and the staff keeps things moving.
Final Word:
One of the best values in DFW. You’re getting near-private club experience at muni prices. Just be ready to pick up the phone.
If my friends are in-town or I want a great experience, this is one of the first courses that come to mind.
